2 · Vent duct size
The finished opening air flows through (inside the border), in inches. Pick a standard duct size or type your own.
The solid wood frame around the cut pattern — the flat margin that rests against the wall/ceiling and holds the screws. Standard is 1″ on every side.
1″ border on all sides (fixed). Choose Customize to change it.
3 · Pattern controls
Choose the motif and how it's tiled, sized, grown/shrunk, and oriented across the opening.
Size of each repeated shape. Staggered, with a 0.2″ gap between cutouts.
4 · Pre-drill holes
Small pilot holes near the corners so the cover screws to the wall without splitting the wood.
Standard: 2 per side, 3 on any side 20″ or longer. Dimensions shown for reference.
5 · Material & finish
Material
What the cover is cut from. Texture/color is preview-only — it never changes the cut.
Finish & paint
How it's finished — and the paint color when you choose Custom color.
Thickness
Board thickness. Only MDF is available in 3⁄8″ (a thicker, more substantial look) — it adds to the price.
